Reviews and Ratings
I was thrilled to find the room had two huge, extremely comfortable 4-poster beds with netting and was both clean and very spacious. I absolutely loved the Spa Ceylon products provided. The only drawback was the limited availability of day beds which often meant there was no space to relax.
The hotel offers a serene oasis in the old fort with a courtyard pool. The rooms may show signs of wear, but the overall comfort is not compromised. The location is perfect for exploring the historic precinct. The dining experience is flavorful with an impressive selection. Service is top-notch with helpful and welcoming staff.
The hotel provided us with a surprise upgrade to a spacious Garden Suite, which was a lovely touch. The rooms are airy and well-appointed, surrounding a small open-air pool. Despite a slightly unwelcoming experience with a senior duty manager, the service from Chamara was attentive and caring. The tranquil location within the charming Galle Fort is ideal for exploring the area, although the accommodation may lack a little something. The daily breakfast was delicious and meticulously prepared, offering a range of Sri Lankan dishes. The facilities are in top-notch condition, adding to the overall positive experience.
Staying at this hotel was like stepping back in time with its loft style suites that sleep 4 people, although lacking basic functionalities. The rooms looked exotic, yet some practical aspects were missing like bedside lamps or towel racks. The service was exceptional, ensuring a memorable stay, and the location within Galle Fort was perfect to explore the area. The dining experience offered delicious options, and the facilities were lovely.
The hotel offers a unique design with rooms featuring 4-poster queen beds with mosquito nets and double height. The rooms are well-appointed with walk-in showers, allowing you to leave the air conditioning on even when you're out, and are spacious with access to the terrace restaurant. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Galle Fort, making it perfect for exploring the area, though some lounge cushions might need replacing. The service is friendly and accommodating, including offerings like a Sri Lankan Breakfast. However, the dining experience could be improved compared to similar-rated hotels, though the staff are caring and helpful. The facilities are convenient with a small open-air pool.
